   • First line of code.

2. May 2026

   • Write a job the way you would say it out loud, and the app fills in the details.
   • Send a job to your crew and watch who opens it, takes it, or passes.
   • Your Guys work the job from their phone: check in, tick off tasks, add photos.
   • Add the parts you used, priced from your own list.
   • Close out on site with the customer's signature on the screen.
   • Every finished job turns into an invoice for the crew's pay.

3. June 2026

   • Pay a crew invoice with a card. The money goes to your Guy's bank.
   • Approve now, pay later, with a due date and a countdown.
   • A Guy has to check in before he can turn in work, so the hours are real.
   • Pay and job rules lock the moment you send the job out.
   • Both sides see changes the second they happen, with no refresh.
   • Print or email any invoice as a clean PDF.

4. July 2026

   • The money tiles on your dashboard count what your customers pay you, not just what you pay your crew.
   • Get a heads-up in a free reader app the moment something new lands on this page, and every update here has its own link you can share.
   • A new line on a customer invoice is saved to your list on its own, with ten seconds to undo. If you would rather be asked first, turn that off in Settings.
   • Add a customer on the Clients page by hand, no job needed, and the address boxes there suggest addresses as you type.
   • Settings are sorted by what they do: the AI switches sit together under AI Options, and the tasks-open timer sits with the check-in switch it belongs to.
   • The start-up guide now points you at your Clients page.
   • Bring your whole client list in from a spreadsheet — you see what happens to every line before it saves, nobody you already have gets overwritten, and you can undo the lot. You can also download your clients, combine two records that are the same person, and get shown the ones that look like doubles. Every client now has a Notes box only you can see, and combining two records puts them side by side so you pick which email, phone and address the one you keep ends up with — whatever you did not pick is saved in its Notes.
   • Add a nickname, and that is how your crew and your notifications will call you.
   • When you add or change your phone number, we text you a six-digit code to type back before it is saved, so the app only texts a phone you really have. A number you already had on file keeps working.
   • Write an estimate for a client before the work starts: the lines, the total, a good-until date and notes only you can see. It stays on your dashboard, and you can copy one to start the next.
   • Archive any estimate to put it away, and delete an archived one from the archive as long as no job was made from it.
   • Attach an estimate to a job, and read it right beside the job and its invoices.
   • Skip the review on tasks you trust. Mark a task "No review" when you post a job and your Guy's completion counts as approved the moment he submits it, with no review request sent to you. Your closeout sign-off stays, so you still look once before the job pays.
   • Update a live job without cancelling it: fix a time, an address, a contact or a task on a job that is already out — small updates reach your crew as a notice, bigger ones ask each Guy to tap Yes, and the record of every change is kept for both of you. Also new: one tap sets No review on every work task in the editor, and when a client signs on site you now get a plain note that the client signed and nothing is needed from you, instead of a review request.
   • A Guy who takes more than a quarter off his own invoice now writes down why, and a Guy whose pay drops by a penalty or a bonus taken back gets one message with the Boss's reason when the job closes out. When a Guy leaves a live job, the rest of the crew hears right away that a slot is open. And reference photos on a live job can now be added or removed through the same change record as every other edit.

7. October 2026

   • The Terms now say what the app does. A Boss may change a live job's details on the app, and a Guy's Yes on the app is the written agreement; pay never changes on a live job; penalties on a job can never add up to more than half a Guy's pay; and a Guy can back out until one hour before the start. The new words take effect November 1, 2026, and the full text of every version is at /legal/changes. Also new: a wrong link now shows a plain not-found page with a way back, instead of the homepage.
   • If the last Guy on a job says No to a change, the job goes straight back to your drafts as a fresh copy — no more cancelling it by hand. A Lead's No cancels the job the same way a Lead backing out does.
   • Send an estimate to your customer by email: they open it on a private page, can print or save it, and accept or decline it right there — you see when it was viewed, every answer, and every version you sent. The estimates list can also sort by status, and a job made from an estimate can open the estimate's notes right on the job.
   • Send an estimate or a client invoice to your customer again from the same screen — once a day per document, so nobody gets flooded, and always with a fresh link that works. Also new: the quantity box no longer puts a stray 0 in front of what you type, and the hours and rate boxes on the new-job form take your numbers the same clean way.
   • When the AI's draft of a new job gets turned back, the job window now tells you why — for example, a start time that has already passed — instead of saying the AI is down. Also new: the Required Tools and PPE boxes take a second pick right away, without clicking back into the box.
   • The first payout to anyone new on the app is now reviewed for a week after the payment comes in, and every screen tells the truth while it waits. A Boss who paid his Guy sees that he paid and the day the review ends — no Pay button, nothing marked overdue. The Guy sees his payment came in and his payout is under review. A Boss whose customer paid sees the same, and the customer's thank-you page no longer promises a receipt before it is ready.
   • Come back to a page after your sign-in has ended, tap a button, and you go straight to sign-in and back to where you were. Before, that showed an error screen.
   • When you pay by card on TheGuys, your card's bank can now ask you to confirm it is really you, right in the payment screen, usually a code by text or a tap in your banking app. Only cards enrolled by their bank see the step. Nothing changes about what you pay.
