We updated our Terms of Service on August 14, 2026. Here is what changed, in plain words. 1) Tax forms. TheGuys App now files IRS Form 1099-K tax forms for people who get paid for jobs through the platform. Our old Terms said we never send tax forms. That has changed: starting with this tax year (2026), if you are paid $600 or more in a year through the platform, we file a 1099-K for you and you get a copy. 2) What you need to do. This fall, Stripe (our payment processor) will email you to confirm your name, address, and tax ID number, and to ask whether you want your tax form delivered electronically. Please complete those steps when the email arrives. If you do not choose electronic delivery, your copy will be mailed to you on paper at the address on file. 3) Nothing else changed. Fees, jobs, and payments all work exactly as before.
