What changed

Published September 11, 2026 · This change took effect on October 1, 2026

We updated our Privacy Policy (version 3.5, effective October 1, 2026). Here is what changed, in plain words. **1. Inventory records in the Accounting Feature.** Section 22 already describes the bookkeeping feature, Books, that is coming to the app. It now says that Books can also keep inventory records: the items you stock, how many you have on hand, what they cost you, your counts and adjustments, and any reorder rules you set. Those records are kept the same way as the rest of your books: on US infrastructure, walled off per account, never sold, and never used to train AI in identifiable form. Like the rest of your financial records, they are kept for the years tax law requires. Nothing else changed. Nothing changes about your account, your data, or your money today: Books is not open yet, so no inventory records are being collected. Continuing to use TheGuys after the effective date means the updated policy applies to you. You can read the full policy any time on the Legal page at theguys.app.
