We are updating our Terms of Service and our SMS Consent & Messaging Policy. The changes take effect on August 25, 2026. Nothing you have to do — here is what changed, in plain words. 1) We now promise, in the Terms themselves, how you find out about a change. Before, the Terms only said we would post an update and email you "where reasonable." Now they say we will do all three, every time: post the new version, email the address on your account, and show you a notice inside the app — and each one tells you the date the change starts. 2) Big-money changes get at least 30 days' notice. If we ever add or raise a fee, change payment or payout terms, or change Section 21 (the arbitration and class-action part), you get at least 30 days' warning before it starts. No fee, payment term, payout term or Section 21 rule is changing right now — this update only adds the 30-day promise. 3) There is now one page that lists our updates. It is at theguys.app/legal/changes. From now on it also keeps the full text of every version we publish, so you can always read exactly what you agreed to and when. 4) The "keep using it means you agree" rule is unchanged, and now it says when. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept it. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the app before that date; you can close your account any time from Settings. 5) Text messages: we will never sneak in a new kind of message. The SMS policy now says that if we ever want to text you about something outside the categories you already agreed to, we ask you first and you have to say yes. Continuing to use the app is never treated as saying yes to a new kind of text. The categories of texts we send are not changing. 6) Nothing else changed. Your fees, your payouts, your payments, your data and your text-message settings all work exactly the same as they did yesterday.
