- Terms of Service — version 3.6 → 3.7
Bosses can now send an estimate to a customer through TheGuys App, by email, with a link to a private page where the customer can read it, print or save it, and accept or decline it. This update to the Terms of Service adds one new subsection, 6.9 "Client Estimates", and widens the definition of a "Client" to include a person who receives an estimate. Section 6.9 says what you would expect: the estimate is the Boss's own estimate, TheGuys App only delivers it, an estimate is not an invoice and carries no payment link and no Platform Fee, a customer's acceptance on the page is their message to the Boss and not an agreement with TheGuys App, and the Boss is responsible for what the estimate says and for any law about written estimates where the work is done. The Platform keeps a record of every send, view, acceptance, decline, cancellation and re-send and shows it to the Boss. It takes effect on the same day as the previously announced version 3.6 and replaces it; everything announced for 3.6 is carried into 3.7 unchanged. No fee, payment term, or arbitration term changes.
